Affordable Catering's owner and founder Debra Howe trained under Executive Chef John LaBee and Chef Tom Roosevelt when she was in her early 20's. After years of managing restaurants, she decided she wanted to build her own business. In the summer of 1995, and while pregnant with her third child, she started Affordable Catering out of her home.
The business doubled year after year. The happy customers recommended the catering company to their family and friends and the exciting adventure began! Most of Debra's career experience revolved around operating restaurants. She lacked previous catering experience so she designed everything around how she would want to be treated as a customer. She simplified the whole process with the focus on the client and their experience.
As the years went on, Affordable Catering became a family-owned business. First her husband came on board and then eventually when her children were grown, they became a part of the team as well. With every member bringing different skill sets and perspectives, we continue growing the company as an unstoppable and integral business in the Tampa Bay area.
